Acceptable Use.

Effective July 27, 2026.

Retold helps you tell true stories well. These rules keep it that way.

Use it honestly

Tell the truth in your interviews and essays. Do not use Retold to fabricate experiences, credentials, awards, or hardships for any application. Follow every rule of the schools, scholarship programs, and testing bodies you apply to, including their policies on AI assistance and disclosure. If a program forbids AI assistance of any kind, do not use Retold for that program's essays.

Keep it yours

Your account is for you. Do not share accounts, coach someone else's application through your account, or resell access. Do not submit other people's work or personal stories as your own.

Do not abuse the service

No attempts to bypass metering or plan limits, probe or overload our systems, scrape the service, reverse engineer it, or interfere with other users. No automated clients that pretend to be a person. No attempts to make the coach write your essay for you; it will refuse, and engineered attempts to defeat that refusal are a violation of these rules.

No harmful content

Do not use Retold to create or store content that is illegal, that harasses or threatens anyone, or that violates another person's privacy or rights.

Enforcement

We may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that break these rules, as described in the Terms of Service. If something here seems to block a legitimate use, email support@retoldbyyou.com and ask; we would rather talk than terminate.
